Best Time to Visit Isko Village (Rock Art), Hazaribagh, Jharkhand

The ideal time to visit the rock art in Isko Village of Hazaribagh, Jharkhand is during the cooler months of October to March. During this period, the climate is pleasantly moderate which makes it perfect for exploring the prehistoric rock paintings that have put Isko on the archaeological map. These months see minimal rainfall and the lush greenery of the surrounding landscapes is in full bloom, enhancing the experience of visitors. Furthermore, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C, outdoor activities such as trekking to the site of the rock art is more comfortable and enjoyable.

It's recommended to avoid the summer months from April to June, when the temperature can soar to over 40°C, making excursions to the rock shelters housing the ancient art quite challenging. The monsoon season, from July to September, while offering a respite from the heat, can make the terrain slippery and access to the rock art sites difficult due to potential flooding and increased insect activity. Hence, planning your visit in the cooler season ensures a safer and more comfortable journey, and allows visitors to fully appreciate the historical significance and natural beauty that Isko Village offers.
