Jack's Ridge is a popular destination in Davao City, Philippines that offers a panoramic view of the Davao Gulf and the cityscape. Sprawling over an elevated land, it was once part of the headquarters of the retreating Japanese forces during the end of World War II. Today, Jack's Ridge is a multi-faceted resort complex that includes restaurants, a coffee shop, souvenir shops, and recreational facilities. The main restaurant, Karlo's Gourmet and Coffee, serves a variety of dishes with a focus on local cuisine. Additionally, the resort has a swimming pool, cottages, and function halls for events. It is also famous for 'Taklobo', a large clamshell that has become one of its landmarks. At night, the city lights add to the charm of the place, making it a favorite spot for romantic dinners and family gatherings. Hiking up the ridge provides an opportunity to enjoy the lush greenery and fresh air. It's also a historic site where you can find remnants from WWII in the form of bunker caves that were used by the Japanese soldiers.
