The Philippine Eagle Center is an 8.4-hectare area located at the foothills of Mt. Apo in Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City, Philippines. This conservation breeding facility is home to the Philippine Eagle, also known as the Monkey-eating Eagle or Haribon (Haring Ibon or 'Bird King'), which is among the tallest, rarest, largest, and most powerful birds in the world. The Center serves as a sanctuary for the eagle and other birds of prey, and it actively promotes the preservation of their natural habitat. It houses around 30 Philippine Eagles, half of which are captive-bred. Visitors can learn about the eagle and the conservation efforts through an educational tour. The center includes a clinic and a quarantine area, a nursery room, an incubation and hatching room, and large enclosures with natural settings for the eagles. Besides the eagles, the center is inhabited by various species of plants and animals, making it also a miniature rainforest.
