The Kailash and Kutumsar Caves in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, are a magnificent underground natural wonder situated in the Kanger Valley National Park. Discovered in 1900, Kutumsar Cave is known to be one of the longest naturally formed caves in the world. The caves are renowned for their stalactite and stalagmite formations. They are formed from limestone and have taken complex forms and shapes due to the water flow over millions of years. These caves have several chambers and blind wells, and one can also find a unique species of blind fish in the cave's waters. With its mysterious darkness lit only by flashlights, the cave experience is both eerie and enchanting. Kailash Cave, discovered in 1993, is located on a small hill and is less explored compared to Kutumsar. However, it is known for its gigantic stalagmite formations, which are revered by the locals. The caves are considered sacred due to their association with Lord Shiva.
