Kalipur Beach is a serene and picturesque beach located in Diglipur, which lies in the northern part of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. The beach is renowned for its unique volcanic grey sand and pristine shoreline, surrounded by lush greenery and palm-fringed coastline. It offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Kalipur Beach is also known for turtle nesting, especially from December to April, when Olive Ridley turtles come to the shore to lay eggs. The beach forms a part of the eco-friendly zone, and efforts are made to conserve the natural habitat of the turtles. This has turned the location into a significant site for ecotourism. Apart from enjoying the sun-soaked beach, visitors can indulge in activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and exploring the nearby attractions such as the Saddle Peak National Park and the Alfred Caves. Kalipur Beach provides a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.
