Kamalabari Satra is a revered spiritual and cultural monastery situated on the Majuli Island in Assam, India. Founded by Bedulapadma Ata, it's a significant center for the Vaishnavite culture, art, and classical studies that was later reformed by the saint and cultural icon Srimanta Sankardeva. Majuli, being the world's largest river island, renders a picturesque backdrop to this satra, engulfed by the mighty Brahmaputra River. Kamalabari Satra is known for preserving and practicing Sattriya music, dance, and drama which were introduced by Sankardeva as a part of the Ekasarana tradition of Hinduism. This cultural hub also hosts an assortment of age-old artifacts, scriptures, and jewelry. The serene atmosphere provides visitors with a spiritual uplift and a touch of Assamese ancient traditions. The satra is not only a pilgrimage destination but also a focal point for those who appreciate indigenous culture and arts.

It’s an Ashram for Brahmchari only. Krishna temple is worth worshipping. Simple but nicely maintained Ashram. Museum is also fine.. It’s good place to visit at Majuli
