Best Time To Visit Kampi Resort (Kratie) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Kampi Resort, Kratie, Cambodia

The most ideal period to plan a visit to Kampi Resort in Kratie, Cambodia, is during the dry season, which spans from November to April. During these months, you can expect minimal rainfall, which makes it perfect for outdoor activities such as dolphin watching, taking a relaxing dip in the Mekong River, or just enjoying the scenic boat trips. Temperatures tend to be more comfortable during this period as well, especially from November to February, when the climate is cooler and more pleasant compared to the hot summer months. This period is also great for photography enthusiasts, as the clear skies provide excellent lighting for capturing the natural beauty of the area.

If you're particularly interested in observing the rare Irrawaddy dolphins, the best months are towards the beginning of the dry season, particularly January and February, when the water levels of the Mekong River are lower, making the dolphins more concentrated in certain areas. Additionally, the Kampi Resort area is less crowded during the early dry season, allowing for a more tranquil experience. However, be mindful that the peak tourist season, generally from December to January, might see higher visitor numbers, so booking your accommodations in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment.
