Kasauli Club (Kasauli) History

A Brief History of Kasauli Club, Kasauli

Founded in the year 1880, the Kasauli Club is one of the most prestigious and historic institutions in the charming hill station of Kasauli, located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The club's origins are rooted in the British colonial era when Kasauli was a major garrison town. Established primarily for the leisure and recreation of British military personnel and civilians, the Kasauli Club quickly became a symbol of social status and exclusivity.

As the years passed, the club evolved into a hub for various social events, badminton tournaments, bridge meets, and formal balls that catered to the British elite and the higher echelons of the Indian society. Despite the end of British colonial rule in 1947, the Kasauli Club has managed to maintain its old-world charm and continues to be a gathering place for social, literary, and cultural events.
