Wide collection of flora
There were varieties of trees, moss-covered stretches, orchids and squirrels inside the sanctuary. But I could barely spot any wild animal except a few deers and two wild boars.

after a long journey we didn't found any big or special animal there,but natural beauty was awesome,and had a great time in green.

Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary
Located at a distance of about 170 km from Aizawl in Mizoram is the Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary covers a total area of 35 sq km and is located at an altitude that ranges up to 1300 m. Some of the common species found here include wild boar, hoolock, gibbon, serow, barking deer, sambar deer and leopard. Visitors to this place will observe that general climate of this wildlife sanctuary remains pleasantly warm all the year round. This region is nicely connected by roadways. Sambhar, Hoolock Gibbon, Himalayan Serow, Wild Boar, Barking Deer, Leopard and a large quantity of other wild creatures have found a safe refuge within the confines of the Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary.

Close to Nature
One of the finest place to visit in lunglei district is khawnglung wildlife sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary is one of the worth visited tourists destination in lunglei. This wildlife sanctuary is located about 170km from the state capital of mizoram. This sanctuary is spread in about 35 sq.km of area. Major attraction of this wildlife sanctuary is its majestic height from sea level it is about 1300m. This wildlife sanctuary is the home of so many wildlife animals like wild boar, hoolock, and gibbon, serow, barking deer, sambar deer and leopard. Apart from these animals you can also find various colourful birds in the vicinity of this sanctuary. This is the perfect destination to spend some hours close to nature.

Visit
I gave a miss to this place as sanctuary was not open during my visit. Faced bit heavy rain also. but going by surrounding, this must be a lovely place. Good for hikers who likes to travel in difficult terrain.
