The monsoon season, which runs from June to September, brings heavy rains that can lead to landslides and travel disruptions, making it less ideal for tourists.
October and November offer the added attraction of witnessing the harvest season and an array of colorful festivals celebrated by the Naga tribes. The famous Hornbill Festival, usually held in the first week of December, is also a great time for visitors to experience Naga culture, with traditional performances, crafts, and food.
