By Air

To quickly get near Langtang National Park, you can take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to the nearest airport, which is in Langtang itself. From there, you can begin your trek or arrange a helicopter flight to drop you closer to your desired location within the park.

By Road

The most common way to reach Langtang National Park is by road. You can hire a private jeep or take a local bus from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi, which are the gateway towns to Langtang National Park. The drive typically takes 6-8 hours depending on road conditions and traffic.

By Trek

From Syabrubesi, you begin the trek to Langtang valley which can take approximately 3-5 days depending on your itinerary and pace. There are various trekking routes available suiting different levels of trekkers. Along the way, there are teahouses where you can rest and recuperate.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Langtang National Park is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is typically clear, providing excellent conditions for trekking and viewing the spectacular mountain scenery.

Permits

Before heading to Langtang National Park, you'll need to obtain a Tim's Card and a Langtang National Park entry permit. These can be acquired in Kathmandu at the Nepal Tourism Board office.
