Best Time To Visit Love River (Kaohsiung) In 2026 - 2027

Visiting Love River in Kaohsiung, Taiwan

The best time to visit the serene Love River in Kaohsiung is during the autumn months, which span from October to November. During this time, the weather is particularly agreeable, featuring mild temperatures that typically range between 20°C to 28°C (68°F to 82°F). Visiting during these months means you'll be able to comfortably enjoy outdoor activities such as riverbank cycling, casual strolls, or leisurely boat rides without the oppressive heat and humidity that come with the summer months. Additionally, rainfall is less frequent in autumn, ensuring that your plans are less likely to be disrupted by sudden downpours. This is also the period when you will witness the changing leaves and a quieter atmosphere, as it's not the peak tourist season.

Moreover, if you are fond of cultural festivities, timing your visit to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival, usually in late September or early October, can be enchanting. The Love River area becomes alive with lantern displays and a joyful spirit. During the evenings, the riverbanks are illuminated by the city lights and often host various performances and art installations, adding a romantic and vibrant energy to the area. Regardless of when you visit, ensure to enjoy a nighttime boat ride, when the surroundings are lit up and Love River shows off its iconic charm. The gentle breeze and panoramic views of the cityscape make for a memorable experience.
