Best Time To Visit Meeru (Maldives) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Meeru Island, Maldives

The Maldivian island of Meeru, with its picturesque beaches and serene environment, is a delightful destination all year round due to its tropical climate. However, the best time to visit Meeru is from November to April, during the dry season. This period is characterized by less rainfall, lower humidity, and clear skies, making it perfect for outdoor activities such as snorkeling, diving, and beach relaxation. The temperature during these months is consistently warm, with average temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F), ideal for enjoying the island's exquisite natural beauty. The dry season also coincides with peak tourist season, so expect the island to be busier, with higher prices for accommodation and services.

Alternatively, if you're looking for lower rates and don't mind occasional rainfall, the wet season from May to October brings its own charm. During this time, Meeru sees more rain, particularly from June to August, but the showers are typically brief and can offer a refreshing break from the heat. Temperatures remain relatively constant during the wet season, and the island's lush vegetation becomes even more vibrant. Marine life is abundant year-round, but the wet season can be particularly beneficial for divers and snorkelers hoping to encounter manta rays and whale sharks. It's important to note that while water sports may sometimes be interrupted by weather conditions, the underwater visibility remains good, and the warm sea temperatures allow for comfortable swimming.
