Minar-e-Pakistan is a national monument located in Lahore, Pakistan, which holds great historical significance. It stands in the Iqbal Park on the site where the All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution on 23 March 1940 - a key event in the struggle for Indian independence and creation of Pakistan. This resolution called for the formation of separate Muslim-majority states. The tower was designed by Pakistani architect Nasreddin Murat-Khan and was completed in 1968. Rising about 70 meters in height, Minar-e-Pakistan has a blend of Mughal and modern architecture. The base of the structure is shaped like a five-pointed star, and it is surrounded by beautiful gardens, making it a popular picnic spot. The tower is made of reinforced concrete, with the floors and walls embellished with inscriptions of Quranic verses, 99 attributes of Allah, and the Lahore Resolution in Urdu, Bengali, and English. Minar-e-Pakistan is not only a monument but also a symbol of freedom and a popular tourist attraction.
