Mount Inasa (Inasayama in Japanese) is a prominent peak west of Nagasaki city center. At 333 meters high, it offers a stunning nighttime panorama, known as the "10 Million Dollar Night View". To reach the summit and enjoy the spectacular view, you can choose from the following modes of transport:
By Cable Car
Nagasaki Ropeway is the most scenic way to reach Mount Inasa.
- Hours: Operations typically run from 09:00 to 22:00, but please check ahead of time as hours may vary.
- Duration: The ride takes approximately 5 minutes.
- Departure: The ropeway station is Fuchi-jinja, accessible from Nagasaki Station by the Nagasaki Electric Tramway.
- Ticket Price: Approximately 1230 yen round trip for adults and 620 yen for children.
By Bus
Take the Nagasaki Bus to reach Mount Inasa.
- Route: The Nishihamano-machi bus stop is the closest to the base, accessible by a number of bus lines.
- Duration: Bus ride from Nagasaki Station takes around 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute uphill walk.
- Cost: Fares vary but expect to pay about 150 yen from Nagasaki Station.
By Car/Taxi
Driving or taking a taxi is a convenient, albeit more expensive, method to visit Mount Inasa.
- Travel Time: About 15 minutes from Nagasaki Station.
- Parking: Parking area is available at the summit.
On Foot
