Best Time To Visit Mount Suyang (Haeju) In 2026 - 2027

Mount Suyang, located near Haeju in North Korea, is a destination that appeals to those interested in natural landscapes and historical sites. The best time to visit Mount Suyang for most travelers is during late spring and early autumn, typically from May to June and from September to October. During these months, the weather is usually mild and pleasant, with little rainfall and moderate temperatures, allowing for comfortable hiking and outdoor exploration. The spring season is especially inviting as visitors can witness the mountain and its surrounding areas burst into vibrant colors with blooming wildflowers and lush greenery. Autumn brings a different kind of aesthetic appeal, as the foliage transforms into a picturesque blend of red, orange, and yellow hues. This season also offers clear, crisp air and fewer tourists, providing a more peaceful experience for those looking to enjoy the serene environment and the panoramic views. During both of these periods, the days are typically warm while nights can be cool, so it is advisable to dress in layers. Keep in mind that visits outside these recommended times may confront extreme weather; summers can be very hot and humid while winters are harsh, cold, and often accompanied by snow, which can make access difficult and potentially hazardous.
