Best Time to Visit Mujhpathri, Doodhpathri, Kashmir, India

The best time to visit Mujhpathri and Doodhpathri in Kashmir, India is overwhelmingly during the summer months, from May to August. During this period, the snow that blankets the valley during winter has melted away, revealing lush green meadows and vibrant wildflowers. The weather is pleasant with the temperature ranging from 13°C to 20°C. This is the ideal climate for tourists to explore the scenic beauty of the meadows, engage in outdoor activities such as trekking and experience the pastoral lifestyle of local shepherds grazing their flocks.

Moreover, another suitable window to visit these destinations is during the early autumn months of September and October. The crowds begin to thin and the valleys take on a golden hue as the foliage starts changing color. Although the temperature begins to drop, averaging around 10°C to 15°C, the days are still clear and sunny, offering spectacular views of the landscape. However, tourists should be aware that post October, as winter sets in, the region becomes less accessible due to heavy snowfall, which makes this period less favorable for traveling.
