Best Time To Visit Murlen National Park (Champhai) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Murlen National Park, Champhai, Mizoram

The best time to visit Murlen National Park in Champhai, Mizoram, is during the post-monsoon and winter months, which span from October to March. During this period, the weather is most conducive for exploring the park, as the climate is ideal with minimal rainfall, and the temperatures range from a comfortable 11°C to 29°C. The post-monsoon season offers lush greenery, as the vegetation is rejuvenated by the monsoon rains. This is also a perfect moment to observe a variety of flora and fauna in their natural habitat, making it an excellent period for nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers.

On the other hand, the winter months from December to February offer a cool and pleasant climate suitable for a visit. Though it can get considerably cold, the daytime provides clear skies and favorable conditions for sightseeing and trekking activities in the park. Visitors should note that the park's altitude can lead to chilly mornings and evenings, so it's advisable to carry warm clothing. Additionally, as Murlen National Park is one of the less-explored natural havens in Northeast India, visiting during these months allows for a tranquil experience away from the tourist crowds typically found in more commercial destinations.
