Best Time To Visit Musandam Fjords (Khasab) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Musandam Fjords, Khasab, Oman

The Musandam Peninsula, with its breathtaking fjords, often dubbed the "Norway of Arabia," is a scenic destination in Khasab, Oman. The best time to visit the Musandam Fjords is generally between October and April, when the weather is mild and pleasant. During these months, temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), making it ideal for outdoor activities such as dhow cruises, snorkeling, dolphin watching, and exploring the rugged landscape. The winter months, particularly December and January, offer the most temperate climate, perfect for enjoying the natural beauty of the fjords without the excessive heat that can occur in the summer.

Visitors looking to avoid the crowds may prefer to visit in the shoulder months of October or April, when the weather is still comfortable, and the tourist numbers begin to dwindle. However, those interested in diving or snorkeling will find that the water temperature remains warm enough for these activities throughout the year. Please note that during the holy month of Ramadan, some tours and services might operate on a reduced schedule, so it's essential to check ahead if your travel dates coincide with this period. Moreover, the summer months, from May to September, are extremely hot with temperatures often exceeding 40°C (104°F), which makes outdoor activities less comfortable and is generally not recommended for a visit.
