How to Reach the Muslim Quarter

The Muslim Quarter, also known as Huimin Jie, is a famous district in Xi'an, China, known for its rich cultural heritage and mouthwatering street food. Here's how you can reach this bustling area:

By Air

Arrive at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XIY). From there, you can:

• Take a taxi directly to the Muslim Quarter (about a 1-hour ride).
• Use the airport shuttle bus and get off at Xi'an Hotel, then transfer to a local taxi or bus.
• Take the Xi'an Metro Line 2 to Beidajie Station and either walk for around 15 minutes or take a short taxi ride.

By Train

For those arriving by train, Xi'an is accessible by high-speed train from major cities. Once at Xi'an Railway Station or Xi'an North Railway Station, you can:

• Catch a taxi directly to the Muslim Quarter.
• From Xi'an Railway Station, take bus lines 251 or 610 to Bell Tower Station and walk north.
• From Xi'an North Railway Station, take the Metro Line 2 to Beidajie Station and walk or catch a taxi.

By Bus

The Muslim Quarter is accessible by several city bus lines. Major bus lines that stop near the Muslim Quarter include:

• Bus No. 4, 7, 32, 201, 215, 221, 222, 251, 252, 300, etc.
• Alight at the Drum Tower (Gulou) or Bell Tower (Zhonglou) stations.

On Foot

If you are staying in downtown Xi'an, the Muslim Quarter is within walking distance from several major landmarks, including the Bell and Drum Towers. Several public squares and streets such as the South Street, West Street, and North Street converge at the Bell Tower, from where the Muslim Quarter is just a short walk to the north.
