Best Time To Visit Panamik Hot Springs (Nubra Valley) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Panamik Hot Springs in Nubra Valley, Ladakh

The ideal time to visit the Panamik Hot Springs, nestled in the tranquil Nubra Valley of Ladakh, is during the summer months, typically from June to September. This period provides the most favorable weather conditions for tourists, as the temperatures are moderate, ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it comfortable for visitors to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the hot springs. The summer season ensures that all the passes are open, including the famed Khardung La, offering relatively easier access to Nubra Valley. Moreover, the valley is in full bloom with lush green landscapes and vibrant flowers, adding to the surreal beauty of the area.

While the summer is the most recommended time to soak in the Panamik Hot Springs, it is important to note that Ladakh's weather can be unpredictable, and nights can still be chilly even in the summer. It's essential for visitors to be well-prepared with necessary clothing and gear. Tourists should avoid visiting during the winter months, from October to May, as the region experiences harsh winters with heavy snowfalls, making the roads impassable and the region largely inaccessible. Additionally, the cold temperature makes it less enjoyable to engage in hot spring bathing, due to the extreme differences in outside temperatures and the temperature of the hot spring water.
