QadamI-Rasool Tourism

Qadam-I-Rasool, also known as Qadam Rasul, is a historical landmark situated in Cuttack, Odisha, India. It holds significant reverence for both Hindus and Muslims, demonstrating a rare blend of communal harmony. Built by Nawab Shujauddin Khan in the 18th century, Qadam-I-Rasool is known for its stunning architecture featuring a high-walled compound with a main gateway that leads to a beautifully maintained garden. Within the complex, there are three mosques, with the central one housing a platform that is believed to carry the imprint of Prophet Muhammad's foot, hence the name 'Qadam-I-Rasool,' which means 'footprint of the Prophet'. The walls display fine motifs of plants and flowers, and the domes atop the mosques are skillfully crafted. The structure reflects a synthesis of Mughal and Odia architecture, making it a unique cultural attraction.
