Best Time To Visit Reichstag Building (Berlin) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit the Reichstag Building, Berlin

The Reichstag Building, a historic edifice in Berlin, is best visited during the shoulder seasons, which are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These periods are ideal as the weather is generally pleasant and tourist crowds are thinner than during the summer months. Visiting during spring allows you to enjoy the blossoming of flowers and a reinvigorated city coming out of the cold winter season. Fall brings a lovely array of autumnal colors and also coincides with numerous cultural events that you could enjoy during your stay.

While the Reichstag is open year-round, visiting during the shoulder season ensures shorter wait times to enter and a more relaxed atmosphere to explore the surroundings. It's important to note that regardless of when you visit, it is advisable to book your visit in advance as the entry is strictly controlled and often booked out for several days due to its popularity. Additionally, catch a visit just before sunset to witness a spectacular view from its famous glass dome, designed by architect Norman Foster.
