Best Time To Visit Rombagre Falls (Tura) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Rombagre Falls, Tura, Meghalaya

The Rombagre Falls, located near Tura in the picturesque state of Meghalaya, India, is a hidden gem that draws nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. To experience the falls at their most splendid, the best time to visit is during the post-monsoon season, which is from late September to November. During this period, the monsoon rains have just receded, leaving the falls full and the surrounding vegetation lush and vibrant. The weather is also pleasant, not too hot or too cold, making it ideal for sightseeing and exploration. Tourists can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the falls without the heavy rainfall that characterizes the monsoon season.

Alternatively, the pre-monsoon season, which runs from March to April, can also be a good time to visit Rombagre Falls. The water level during these months is lower than in the post-monsoon months, but this also means that the surrounding areas are more accessible, and the falls can be viewed easily. The climate during these months is moderate, creating perfect conditions for trekking to the falls and engaging in other outdoor activities. However, it's important to note that visiting during the peak of the monsoon (June to August) should be avoided due to heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding and make the paths slippery and dangerous.
