Best Time to Visit Rongbang Dare Waterfall in Tura, Meghalaya

The Rongbang Dare Waterfall, situated in the lush landscape of Tura in Meghalaya, India, is a spectacular sight best visited during certain times of the year for an optimal experience. The ideal time to visit the waterfall is from October to December, which is just after the monsoon season. During this period, the monsoon rains have filled the waterfalls to their maximum capacity, providing a majestic and powerful natural display. The surrounding flora, nourished by the rainfall, is in full bloom, adding to the beauty of the environment. Additionally, the weather during these months is generally pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold, which makes for comfortable trekking and sightseeing conditions.

Visitors may also consider the period from late February to early May as an alternative time to visit. During these months, the weather remains enjoyable for outdoor activities, with less chance of heavy rainfall that can make accessing the falls difficult or risky. However, the water flow might be less impressive compared to the post-monsoon months. It is advisable to avoid the rainy season, from June to September, when the trails can be slippery and the heavy rain can lead to flash floods, making it unsafe to explore the waterfalls. No matter when you go, ensure to check the local weather forecasts and reach out to local guides or tourism offices for the latest information on the waterfall's accessibility.
