Why?
I have to give review on this as well. I was aware of the bad reviews, but I am here on Samui alone with my little son, and rainy days ,forced us’ to go. I did not want to interact with the tigers but I wanted to show my son the aquarium/fish. I was shocked right on the beginning: there was nothing in the water for the fish to hide, except for several stones here and there. Poor murena was trying to hide between the metal poles - see picture. Water was dirty, dirty fences made it look like a real prison for fish. Please see pictures! Sea turtle was alone in some kind of a bathtub - I can not imagine it is possible to keep a ses turtle alone in a bathtub without anything! We were offered for 100b feeding monkeys (we tried and they were not interested), fish and tiger (we refused). Big cats had really small rooms - which made them be well visible. Tigers looked very skinny. I refused to take pics with the cats so that they can sleep. The staff seemed relieved by my answer. They offered us playing with tiger kittens - I hope they had mother somewhere close. I explained to my son that that is not ok and left quickly. I was there at 10AM (opening) and the trash bins were full. I personally can not understand why they do not make the aquariums better - add some plants, paint, clean, something for fish to hide..it wouldnt cost much. I would personally do it if I was an employee. I do not understand the point of this. I was asking myself the whole time: WHY?
