San Siro Stadium, officially known as Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, is an iconic sports arena located in the San Siro district of Milan. There are multiple ways to get to the stadium depending on your starting point and preferred mode of travel.

Public Transportation

  • Metro: The most convenient way to reach San Siro Stadium is by taking the Milan Metro. You can take line M5 (the purple line) and alight at the 'San Siro Stadio' station, which is just a short walk from the stadium.
  • Tram: Tram lines 16 and 90 also reach areas close to the stadium. They can be a scenic and local way to travel, but they are slower than the metro.

By Car

If you're driving to San Siro Stadium, it is located close to the city's western ring road. Be aware that on match days, the area can get very congested, and parking spaces may be limited. There are several parking lots and garages in the vicinity, but arriving early is advisable.

By Taxi or Rideshare

Taxis or rideshare services such as Uber can take you directly to the stadium. Although convenient, fares will be higher, especially after events due to high demand.

From Milan-Malpensa Airport

  • To reach San Siro from Malpensa Airport, take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Porta Garibaldi station, then transfer to the metro M5 line to the stadium.

From Milan Central Train Station

  • Metro: Take the metro M2 line (green line) to Garibaldi FS, then change to line M5 (purple line) heading towards San Siro Stadio.

From Downtown Milan (Duomo)

  • If you are in the Duomo area, take the metro M1 line (red line) to Lotto, then switch to M5 line (purple line) to San Siro Stadio.

Regardless of how you choose to get there, be sure to factor in extra time for travel on days when events are taking place at the stadium, as public transport and roadways can become particularly busy.
