Best Time to Visit Saraswari Wildlife Sanctuary (Seonsar Forest)

The Saraswati Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Seonsar Forest, in Yamunanagar, Haryana, India, is a vibrant ecosystem that offers an exceptional experience for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. The ideal time to plan a visit to this sanctuary is during the cooler months from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold, making it perfect for wildlife spotting and bird watching. The temperatures range comfortably between 10°C and 25°C. This is also the time when migratory birds arrive, adding to the rich biodiversity of the sanctuary, a spectacle that attracts ornithologists and photographers alike.

Moreover, these months coincide with the post-monsoon season, which means the flora of the sanctuary is in full bloom, creating a lush green backdrop for your outdoor excursions. It is, however, advisable to avoid the rainy season (July to September) as the region could be prone to heavy rains, making the trails slippery and the sanctuary less accessible. The summer months (April to June) should also be avoided due to the extreme heat in the region, with temperatures soaring up to 40°C, making it an uncomfortable time for outdoor activities. Therefore, for a comfortable visit with ample wildlife sighting opportunities, ensure your travel plans align with the more temperate and bio-diverse months of October to March.
