The Shrine of Bayazid Bostami is a revered Sufi shrine located in the Nasirabad area of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It honors the memory of the famous Persian Sufi saint, Bayazid Bostami, although the saint never actually visited Bangladesh. The shrine complex comprises a large pond known as the Bostami Turtle Pond, which contains a rare species of black soft-shell turtles considered sacred and protected by local beliefs.
