Best Time To Visit Street Art And Downtown Markets (Amman) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Street Art and Downtown Markets in Amari, Jordan

Visiting the vibrant street art scene and bustling downtown markets of Amman is a culturally enriching experience best enjoyed during the spring and fall. To truly appreciate the open-air galleries and market ambiance, consider planning your visit from March to May or from September to November. During these months, the weather is typically mild and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 26 degrees Celsius (59 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit). The cooler temperatures allow for leisurely strolls through the city's art adorned streets and more comfortable exploration of the colorful souks. Springtime also sees the blooming of flowers, adding a natural beauty to the urban landscape that complements the creative street art.

The lively downtown markets in Amman, such as Al-Balad or Rainbow Street, offer a feast for the senses throughout the year, but visiting during these moderate months avoids the scorching summer heat and the chilly winter air, ensuring a more enjoyable experience. During Ramadan, keep in mind that the markets operate on different schedules and many local artists may take the period off, so it’s best to verify the availability of art tours or market events in advance. Additionally, the evenings during spring and fall offer a magical atmosphere, as the golden sunset hues enhance the street art's vibrancy and the markets come to life with twinkling lights and night-time shoppers.
