Best Time to Visit Sultanpur National Park Bird Sanctuary

The optimal time to visit Sultanpur National Park Bird Sanctuary is during the winter months, from October to March. This season is particularly magical as it coincides with the migratory period for a variety of avian species. During these months, the sanctuary becomes a vibrant host to numerous migratory birds that travel great distances from Europe, Siberia, and Central Asia to escape the severe winter in their native habitats. The temperature during this period is pleasant and ranges between 5°C to 20°C, creating ideal conditions for both the birds and birdwatchers.

Visitors in the winter can witness the park in its full glory, with a spectrum of birds displaying their colorful plumage and engaging in their daily routines. Early morning is particularly rewarding for birdwatchers, as this is when the birds are most active. Moreover, the Sanctuary also celebrates its annual bird festival in the month of February, which can be an exciting time for wildlife enthusiasts to partake in guided nature walks, photography, and interactive sessions about birds. One should, however, avoid visiting during the monsoon months or the peak of summer, as the park may be less accessible and the harsh weather conditions restrict bird activity.
