Best Time To Visit Sunrise Point (Kasauli) In 2026 - 2027

Visit Sunrise Point in Kasauli

Sunrise Point, also known as Hawa Ghar, is located on the lower mall region towards Gilbert Trail in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. As its name suggests, the point offers a breathtaking view of the rising sun, with the first rays illuminating the verdant hills and valleys with a golden glow. The best time to visit Sunrise Point for witnessing this mesmerizing view is from April to June, during the summer months. The weather is pleasantly cool with minimal chances of rain, ensuring clear skies for the perfect sunrise experience. The months of September to November, which cover the post-monsoon season and the onset of winter, are also ideal for enjoying crisp mornings and excellent visibility.

Visitors should note that to capture the sunrise at its best, they should plan to reach the point before the break of dawn, which can be around 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM, depending on the time of the year. Additionally, the winter months from December to February might offer clear views, but the cold weather and risk of road blockages due to snow can be challenging. Therefore, travelers are encouraged to dress warmly during winter visits. Normally, the crowds are fewer during sunrise, which makes it an excellent time for those looking for a moment of solitude with nature. While planning your visit, always check the local weather forecast and prepare for contingencies, as the mountain weather can be unpredictable.
