Best Time To Visit Suryakund (Hazaribagh) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Suryakund, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, India

The perfect time to visit Suryakund in Hazaribagh, which is famed for its hot water spring and picturesque surroundings, is during the winter season, spanning from October to March. During these months, the climate in Jharkhand is pleasantly cool, with temperatures ranging from a comfortable 10°C to 25°C. This is an ideal climate for tourists to explore the natural beauty of Suryakund without facing the scorching heat of the typical Indian summer. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing dip in the hot springs, which are believed to have healing properties, while basking in the gentle warmth of the winter sun.

However, if one wishes to witness the vibrant cultural aspect of the region, planning a trip around the local festivals like Chatth Puja, occurring in November, could be very rewarding. Avoid visiting during the monsoon months from July to September, as heavy rains can make the area prone to landslides and the terrain could be treacherous. The summer months, from April to June, are also least recommended due to the extreme heat with temperatures soaring above 40°C, which might not be conducive for outdoor activities including trekking near the Suryakund area.
