Best Time To Visit Ta Tai River (Koh Kong) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ta Tai River, Kohdomg

The most ideal period to visit the Ta Tai River in Koh Kong, Cambodia, is during the dry season, which spans from November to April. During this time, the weather is typically warm and pleasant, with minimal rainfall, allowing for uninterrupted exploration and activities. The dry season also provides the best conditions for boat trips along the river, as water levels are lower and more predictable, which is particularly important for safety and accessibility to various destinations along the Ta Tai riverbanks. Moreover, this season offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the lush landscapes with a backdrop of clear, blue skies, making it perfect for photography enthusiasts.

Conversely, the wet season, which runs from May to October, can present challenges due to heavy rainfall and high water levels. These conditions may lead to certain areas along the river becoming inaccessible and can also increase the risk of encountering insects and mosquitos. For intrepid travelers undeterred by the rains, however, the wet season can offer a unique experience as the Ta Tai River swells and the surrounding flora thrives, creating a different kind of beauty for those who don't mind a bit of adventure and are well-prepared for the conditions. Nevertheless, for the most comfortable and accessible experience, the dry season remains the recommended time to visit this enchanting Cambodian destination.
