The Tea Gardens of Palampur are a major attraction in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, renowned for their lush tea plantations set against the backdrop of the majestic Dhauladhar Range. These gardens, sprawling across vast acres, are a testament to Palampur’s epithet as the 'Tea Capital of North India.' Founded during the British era, the plantations majorly contribute to the tea production in the region. Visitors are enchanted by the seamless expanses of greenery as they walk through the neatly lined rows of tea bushes. The scenic beauty of the gardens is complemented by the tranquility that surrounds the area, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers seeking solace and inspiration. The estates also offer experiences such as tea tasting and insights into the tea-making process, which engages the senses and enlightens on the finer details of tea production. Moreover, the plantations have helped shape the cultural and economic tapestry of Palampur, making it a significant landmark, not just for its beauty but also for its contribution to agritourism.

Good variety of tea available for purchase
A wide variety of tea is available for purchase. The tea gardens and estate are quite small. Quite a bit of littering in the garden was visible. Easily accessible once you drive past the war memorial.
