Best Time To Visit Temple Of Artemis Jerash (Jerash) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Temple of Artemis, Jerash, Jordan

The Temple of Artemis in Jerash is a magnificent ancient site, and one of the best times to visit is during the spring months, from March to May. During this period, the weather is relatively mild, and you can enjoy exploring the grand ruins without the extreme heat that characterizes the Jordanian summer. Temperatures are pleasant, usually ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), allowing for comfortable sightseeing. Spring also brings the bonus of the countryside being lush and green, which beautifully contrasts with the golden tones of the ancient stone structures. The likelihood of rain diminishes as the season progresses, so April to early May could be considered ideal for those looking to avoid wetter conditions.

If you're not able to make it in the spring, the autumn months of September to November are another excellent alternative. Much like spring, autumn provides a respite from the searing temperatures of summer and the chill of winter. The visitor numbers start to dwindle, which means you can enjoy a more serene experience at the site. The temperatures in early autumn are warm, not too dissimilar from spring, but they gradually cool off as you move towards November. Keep in mind that while mornings and evenings can be quite cool, especially in late autumn, the daytime still offers plenty of sunshine for a pleasant visit to the remarkable Temple of Artemis.
