Toko Tower, an iconic symbol of Tokyo, is a communications and observation tower located in the Minato district. With its distinctive red and white paint, designed to comply with air safety regulations, the tower stands at a height of 333 meters, making it the second tallest structure in Japan. Modeled after the Eiffel Tower, it was completed in 1958 and serves as a television and radio broadcast antenna. The tower's architecture has embedded in it the post-war rebirth of Japan and its modernization. Tokyo Tower features two observation decks, one at 150 meters and the other at 250 meters, offering panoramic views of the sprawling cityscape below, including landmarks like the Tokyo Skytree and Mount Fuji on clear days. The tower's foot houses a four-story building with museums, restaurants, and shops. Inside, visitors can learn about the tower's history and structural details. The lighting of Tokyo Tower changes seasonally and for special events, adding to its prominence in Tokyo's night view. Despite being surpassed by the Tokyo Skytree in height, Tokyo Tower remains a prominent tourist attraction and a nostalgic symbol of Tokyo's skyline.
