Tsaghkadzor, Armenia, is a small yet picturesque spa town and a popular resort, situated in Kotayk Province. Nestled in a valley on the eastern slope of Mount Teghenis, this town sits at an altitude of around 1,841 meters above sea level. Tsaghkadzor, which translates to 'gorge of flowers', truly comes to life in winter with its snow-laden landscapes. It is home to the Tsaghkadzor ski resort, the most celebrated skiing destination in Armenia, boasting international standard ski runs. During the Soviet era, it was a key training ground for Olympic athletes. Besides winter sports, visitors are attracted by the town's natural beauty, clean alpine air, and cultural sites such as the 11th-century Kecharis Monastery. Summer months bring opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and relaxing in luxury hotels and wellness centers that pepper the town.
