Best Time To Visit Ubud Palace (Ubud) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ubodium Palace in Ubud, Indonesia

Visiting Ubud Palace, known locally as Puri Saren Agung, is a must-do when in Ubud, Indonesia. Ubud has a tropical climate with two main seasons: dry and wet. The ideal time to visit is between April and September, which corresponds to the dry season. During these months, the weather is generally pleasant and sunny, making it suitable for exploring the architectural grandness of the palace as well as enjoying the traditional Balinese dances often performed in the evenings. The dry season's cooler evenings complement the outdoor experience, ensuring comfortable conditions as you immerse in the cultural displays.

However, if you want to avoid the peak tourist season, plan your visit for April or September when the tourist volume is slightly lower. The months of June, July, and August are the busiest due to school holidays and the perfect weather for sightseeing, which sometimes lead to crowded spaces. Remember, though, that even during the wet season from October to March, Ubud Palace remains open, and the rain usually comes in short, heavy bursts, often in the late afternoon or evening, so mornings are still viable for a visit. Despite a higher chance of rain, the wet season brings out Ubud’s lush landscapes and offers a quieter experience, which some may prefer.
