Best Time to Visit Upper Ghaghri Waterfalls in Netarhat, Jharkhand

The Upper Ghaghri Waterfalls is a captivating natural wonder in the quaint hill station of Netarhat, located in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The best time to visit this serene destination is during the post-monsoon season, which typically spans from October to December. During these months, the waterfalls are in their full glory, courtesy of the abundant rainfall received during the monsoons. The greenery surrounding the falls is lush and provides a tranquil setting for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy the pleasant weather, as the temperature during this time is neither too hot nor too cold, making for an ideal trekking experience to the falls.

Apart from the post-monsoon period, the early summer months of March to April also present a good opportunity to visit the Upper Ghaghri Waterfalls. While the flow might not be as impressive as right after the monsoons, the weather is comfortable, and the surroundings still hold the freshness of the preceding cool months. It's important for travelers to note that the region can become quite cold during the winters, and the monsoon season (June to September) can make trekking to the falls challenging due to slippery paths and strong currents. Therefore, it is advisable to plan your visit outside the rainy season for a safe and enjoyable experience.
