About Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc

Located on the idyllic island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam, Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is the first and only open zoo and conservation park in Vietnam. Modeled after world-class safari parks around the globe, it is part of the larger Vinpearl Phu Quoc complex, which includes a five-star resort complex, amusement park, golf courses, and more.

History of Tourism in Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc, once a sleepy island destination, has undergone a transformative journey in terms of tourism. The island has been known for its pristine beaches, clear waters, and lush landscapes and has been a spot for small-scale fishing and farming for years. However, the history of tourism development in Phu Quoc began in earnest in the early 2000s when the Vietnamese government recognized the potential of this island as a prime tourist destination.

Investments in infrastructure, including the international airport which opened in 2012, and relaxed visa requirements have made the island more accessible to international visitors. Since then, Phu Quoc has seen a steady increase in tourist numbers.

Launch of Vinpearl Safari

The opening of Vinpearl Safari in December 2015 marked a new chapter in Phu Quoc's tourism history. Spanning over 500 hectares, the park is designed to protect wildlife and create natural living conditions for animals, while also allowing tourists to observe them in their natural habitat. The park is not only a place to entertain but also plays a role in education and conservation efforts.

Latest Tourism Trends in Phu Quoc

In recent years, Phu Quoc has witnessed an evolution in tourism preferences. Visitors are increasingly seeking experiences that are responsible, sustainable, and educational. With the rise in ecological awareness, destinations like the Vinpearl Safari, which offer educational tours and promote conservation, are gaining more popularity.

Adventure tourism, wellness retreats, and cultural experiences are also becoming more sought after. Tourists are venturing beyond the beaches to explore the island's interior—such as the Phu Quoc National Park, pepper farms, and traditional fish sauce factories.

Moreover, with the island's designation as a Special Economic Zone, Phu Quoc is poised to experience further growth, with plans for more luxury resorts, entertainment areas, and improved connectivity to the mainland and other Southeast Asian destinations.

Conclusion

Today, Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc stands as a testament to the island's commitment to offer diverse and responsible tourism experiences. It's not just a destination but a bridge between human curiosity and wildlife preservation, aligning itself perfectly with the latest trends in global travel that prioritize sustainability and respect for the environment.
