Seiyun Airport (GXF) is the nearest airport to Shibam. International travelers will likely need to fly into one of the larger airports in Yemen and then take a domestic flight to Seiyun. From Seiyun Airport, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a private transfer to Shibam.
Driving to Shibam is possible, but please note the travel conditions and local advice as the region can be unstable. If coming from Sana'a, the capital of Yemen, the journey is approximately 500km and can take around 10 hours by car, depending on road conditions and checkpoints.
