Wenshu Monastery, also known as Wenshu Yuan, is a renowned Buddhist temple situated in Chengdu, the bustling capital of Sichuan province in China. It is dedicated to the Buddhist representation of Wisdom, Manjushri (Wenshu in Chinese), from whom it gets its name. The monastery dates back to the Tang dynasty and was constructed on the grounds that were believed to be visited by Manjushri in the form of a monk. Over the years, it has been rebuilt several times and now features stunning examples of classical Chinese architecture.
