People's Park is a vibrant and popular public park located in the heart of Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province in China. Established in 1911 during the Qing dynasty, it is one of the city's oldest and most famous parks, covering about 112,639 square meters. The park features a blend of natural and cultural attractions, including landscaped gardens, a large artificial lake known as Heming Lake, teahouses, and a bonsai garden. The park is a social hub for locals and an escape from the bustling city life. Visitors can engage in various activities such as tai chi, dancing, and singing. Teahouses scattered throughout the park, like the Heming Teahouse, provide a serene environment to enjoy traditional Chinese tea. The park also hosts the annual Chengdu Chrysanthemum Fair, adding a seasonal charm. It is a perfect representation of the leisurely lifestyle of Chengdu residents and offers a glimpse into traditional Sichuan culture and entertainment.
Pleasant park lots of big mature trees and benches to sit and relax, shot walk from Apo Hotel and Dencia’s Restaurant. Apparently former President frequently visit.

Nice break
Nice park, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Very hot. Limited places to sit down. Worth a visit if you are looking for a break from the hectic city
