Kuanzhai Ancient Street, also known as 'Wide and Narrow Alley', is a historical and cultural attraction in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Comprising three parallel ancient alleys - Kuan (Wide) Alley, Zhai (Narrow) Alley, and Jing (Well) Alley - and the courtyards between them, the area is a microcosm of the city's history, displaying architectural styles from the Qing Dynasty. It was founded during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) when the Manchurian garrison that had been stationed there was converted into a living quarter for the soldiers.
