Zangto Pelri Park Tourism

Zangto Pelri Park is a serene sanctuary located in the heart of Phuentsholing, Bhutan's bustling frontier town bordering India. This small but beautifully maintained park offers a spiritual retreat amidst the verdant landscape with an impressive three-storeyed lhakhang (temple) situated at its center. The lhakhang, dedicated to Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, features elaborate interior decorations and houses several statues representing important Buddhist deities. The park's peaceful surroundings are accentuated by the presence of a pond filled with fish and lotuses, prayer wheels, and well-manicured gardens. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy a tranquil walk, engage in meditation, or simply relax in the shade of its numerous trees. Zangto Pelri Park provides a glimpse into the spiritual and cultural facets of Bhutanese life. The park is an ideal place for cultural immersion while witnessing the harmony of traditional Bhutanese spiritual practices within everyday life. Zangto Pelri Park not only serves as a spiritual haven but also acts as a green lung for the city, contributing to the urban ecology of Phuentsholing.
