4 Nights 5 Days Darjeeling Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and transfer to Gangtok
Meet and Greet on arrival at NJP / Bagdogra and transfer to Gangtok. After arrival we check-in at the hotel. The evening is free for the guests to explore Gangtok at leisure. Our recommendation: • Visit to MG Marg is recommended. • Shopaholics can spend time at MG Marg and Lal Bazar. • One can visit Curio Craft Gallery on PS Road and Sikkim Handloom & Handicraft at Zero Point to buy traditional Buddhist and Sikkimese art work, handloom, bamboo works, etc In the evening we return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, situated at a height of 3,780 meters with a depth of 50 ft. Visit Baba Mandir – a shrine dedicated in memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh (Harbhajan Singh had drowned in a glacier. Legend has it that he himself helped the search party to find his body. Still later, through a dream he instructed one of his colleagues to build and maintain a shrine in his memory). Optional: A ride to Nathu La (Nathu La is an offshoot of the historic Silk Route which connected Lhasa in Tibet to the plains of Bengal): As special permit is needed to visit Nathu La (closed on Monday and Tuesday), prior intimation by the guest is required. Furthermore, extra amount will be charged for the ride.
Day 3: Gangtok to Darjeeling
After breakfast we proceed towards Gangtok sightseeing covering , Research Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays and Govt. holidays), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (closed on Sunday and Govt. holidays) and Flower Show.. In the Afternoon we leave for Darjeeling. overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 4: In Darjeeling full day sightseeing
Early rising at 4:00 am and we head towards Tiger Hill, a place famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga. On our way back we will visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop (The Batasia Loop was an engineering marvel of its time. It is a spiral railway created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Toy Train. At this point, the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel). From here we head back to our hotel where breakfast will be served. After breakfast we head out for 7 points sightseeing. We visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Rope way, Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. In the evening we return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5: Darjeeling to New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (XIB)
Bid adieu to these enchanting hills and drive down to the plains as you take back everlasting memories.
