Singalila National Park, located on the Singalila Ridge in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India, is a prominent biodiversity hotspot and a high-altitude national park. At elevations ranging between 2,400 meters and 3,700 meters, the national park offers some of the most stunning views of the Himalayan peaks, including the Kanchenjunga range and a distant view of Mount Everest. Rich in varied flora and fauna, visitors can encounter different species of rhododendrons, magnolias, orchids, and primula as well as rare mammals like the red panda, Himalayan black bear, and clouded leopard. The park is a well-known destination for bird watchers with the presence of numerous bird species. It is also famous for the Phalut and Sandakphu trekking routes which offer spectacular natural vistas. Apart from its ecological significance, Singalila also holds cultural importance with small Buddhist villages dotting the landscape.
