Happy Valley Tea Estate is a renowned tea garden located in the picturesque town of Darjeeling in West Bengal, India. Spanning an area of about 437 acres at an elevation ranging from 2,100 meters to 2,750 meters, it is one of the highest tea gardens in the world and offers breathtaking views of the snow-covered Himalayas. Established in 1854, it is also one of the oldest tea estates in Darjeeling. The estate grows Camellia Sinensis tea bushes and is famous for producing premium Darjeeling tea, which is often referred to as the 'Champagne of Teas' for its delicate flavour. Visitors to Happy Valley can tour the plantation to learn about the tea-growing process, from plucking of the leaves to processing in the factory. The plantation’s scenic beauty combined with the charm of witnessing tea processing makes it a unique experience for tourists.
