Day 1: NJP Rly. Stn . / IXB-Bagdogra Airport to Darjeeling ( 80 Kms / 3 Hrs. / 6950 Ft.)

Meet & greet on arrival at NJP railway station / IXB-Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 ft. /80 kms / 3 hrs ). Darjeeling's name derives from a monastery called “dorje” ling which was built by the local tribals denzongpas in 1765 on behalf of the Chogyal of Sikkim. It is said that it was formerly a place of worship of the rongs where three stone stand erect (lung-chok) till today. "Dorje" means thunderbolt and "ling" means place. unfortunately the monastery was destroyed by the invading gurkha army in 1815. On arrival check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling .

Day 2: Darjeeling local sight seen

Early morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. worlds’ 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom monastery and Batasia loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological park (Thursday closed), Tenzing rock, Tibetan refugee self-help centre (Sunday closed), Tea garden (outer view), Japanese temple & Peace pagoda. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 3: Darjeeling to Pelling ( 83 kms / 4 hrs / 6,950 ft.) halfday local sight seen

After breakfast transfer to to Pelling . This small beautiful town in West Sikkim is situated at the height of 6840 ft. and the last motorable destination towards Mt. Khanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. Due to its unique location Pelling is an ideal place for nature lovers and is famous for its superb scenic beauty which is impossible to describe in words but requires to feel. The magnificent view of mighty Khanchenjunga massif, which is considered to be the guardian deity of Sikkim and its surrounding snow capped Himalayan peaks, ie. Koktang, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Kabru dom, Pandim, Zopunu, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinialchu etc. Forest covered hills and the entire route to zongri from yuksom can be visible from here and all of them offer a heavenly beauty which is unforgettable for the whole of life. Day 4: Pelling to Gangtok halfday local sight seen

Bhutias , Lepchas and Nepalis influence the culture and traditions of this region . Gangtok is now emerging as a main point of Tibetology. Day 5: Gangtok – Lachung (116 kms / 6 hrs)

After breakfast pick up from hotel & transfer to Lachung (8,800 ft). Lachung is a town in northeast Sikkim, India. It is located in the north Sikkim district and is near the border with Tibet. Lachung is at an elevation of about 9,600 ft or 3,000 m and at the confluence of the Lachen river and Lachung rivers, tributaries of the river Teesta. the word Lachung means “small pass”. the town is approximately 125 km from the capital Gangtok . The Indian army has a forward base in the town. Before the annexation of Tibet in 1950, Lachung was a trading post between Sikkim and Tibet, after which it was closed down. The town’s economy has been boosted by tourism in recent years as the region has been opened up by the Indian government. Tourist come from all over the world to visit the town between October and May, mostly on their way to the Yumthang valley and the Lachung monastery. Most of Lachung’s inhabitants are of Lepcha and Tibetan descent. Languages spoken here are Nepali, Lepcha and Bhutia. During winter the town is usually covered in snow. Lachung is also the base camp for rhododendron valley trek which starts from Yumthang valley and ends at Lachen valley.Lachung has been described as the “most picturesque village of Sikkim” by British explorer Joseph Dalton Hooker in his definitive, the himalayan journal (1855). skiing is conducted in Phuni near this town. Enroute visit singhik view point, seven sister water fall, naga water fall and arrive Lachung by evening. dinner at hotel. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 6: Lachung – Yumthang valley excursion - Gangtok

After breakfast proceed to Yumthang valley (12,000 ft. known as valley of flowers). on the way back, visit hot spring considered to have medicinal properties. back to resort .After lunch proceed to Gangtok. Rest of the evening free for your own activities .Overnight stay at Gangtok .

Day 7: Tshomgo Lake Excursion

After breakfast, proceed to Baba Mandir ( 13,200 ft ) & Tsomgo lake (12,313 ft), a 55 kms drive which takes 2.5 hrs. this lake is located very close to Nathula pass which is the entry point to china termed as the “silk route & remains frozen for most parts of the year. Legend has it that the lamas use to forecast the future by studying the colour of the lakes waters. Enjoy the surroundings, majestic snowy peaks which feed the lake and the clean fresh air, back to Gangtok by 3 pm for a late lunch. Evening free for leisure or go shopping for Sikkimese traditional handicrafts . Overnight stay at Gangtok. (in case of land slide or any other reason tsomgo lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing i.e- Rumtek monestry / Namchi chardham ) *** Nathula Pass ( Indo – China Border ) visit Rs.4000/- extra subject to availability of pass )

Day 8: Gangtok – NJP Rly. Stn. / IXB- Bagdogra airport ( 125 kms / 4 hrs)
